ESI Collection & Preservation
Electronic discovery involves the collection of electronically stored information (ESI). The process extracts information such as emails and documents (i.e. Word and Excel files), stored on devices such as CD’s, DVD’s, USB flash drives, workstation and server hard drives, backup tapes, mobile phones, tablets etc. These devices typically hold a great deal of data, and it is at the outset of legal proceedings where a case can be adversely affected if the collection, preservation and analysis of such information are not handled properly.
We can assist with the interpretation of discovery requests served on your organisation or client, or in the careful drafting of requests that your team plans to serve on another party.
Forensic Cyber can assist in the assessment of discovery requests, evaluation of information necessary to collect, and in the preservation, collection, and analysis of such data.
